Key Details
- About The Project
As it will be appreciated in our society today, we are surrounded by telecommunication and Wi-Fi in the context of heritage, it is often problematic when a telecommunication company decides that it needs to plant new equipment on the roof of a heritage building. Clearly, such equipment would never have been foreseen by the architect of he now heritage-listed building. Therefore, Heritage 21 fulfilled the role of architect -in chief for the project in order to radically reduce heritage impact and to maintain the integrity of the original building below.
- What was done
Telecommunications equipment was fixed to the heritage building in a manner that reduced visual impacts. This involved suggestions by Heritage 21 to the telecommunications company to either move equipment away from view lines to the building or to shroud them.
